Christmas present for the car?

Postby AUTOMAN » Thu Dec 21, 2006 8:07 pm

2 days ago my wife came home from shopping and told me to close my eyes tight when she entered the house. I did as I was told and then a large plastic package had been placed onto my lap. I was then commanded to open my eyes and when I did so I saw that the large plastic package was an outdoor car cover. I expressed my thanks to be told "its not for you, its for the car". We went outside and fitted it to the car and my wife said, "do you think that will keep it warm at night".

My wife proffesses to hate my Viva's, but did like the black firenza's, magnums and hc's that she saw at Billing, but in all the years that we have been together, she has never bought me a present that in any way could be of use on the cars, let alone bought a car itself a present.

I am left wondering that as she knows the car is the only one of its kind left, does she secretly like the car? or does she see it as an investment? Could she be protecting it just in case a divorce is on the cards?

What-ever the case, at least the car is beeing loved by her now.

Merry Christmas.

Be afraid... Be very afraid.

Hide all sharp objects. Examine your food carefully. Buy flowers for her. Change your will.
Sometimes, I wonder why I bother, and then for one fleeting moment things will go right for a change.

She has owned up tonight and said that she is protecting the investment of us buying the car, as she intends to sell it on when I'm dead. I told her that this would mean spending money on the car to maximise its financial potential and she said fine. I then told her that I needed cash for new fuses, carpets and a windscreen rubber, to which she said fine.

Now I am starting to think that she is having an affair and is worried about me finding out. If this is the case, I would just like to say to that man, Thank you, and convince her not to confess as the car is realy going to benifit this way.

Could it be that she might be thinking "if you cant beat em join em".
Merry Christmas Ian - Oh did you check the one end to see if there is a sleeping bag and outdoor cooking set?!!

Merry Christmas to you also Fred.

If she were to put in a sleeping bag and out-door coocking equiptment, that would give the impression that she cares about me. In her mind, this would never be acceptable, so I know better than to look, though she has suggested that I could now sleep in the car, in her words to guard it, but something tells me that she does not really mean that, more like to give her some peace and get me out of her hair. I love my wife, she cares so much.
