Sad day..... Well, its finally time to accept that I'm never going to have the time to do this van, so its up for sale hopefully to somebody who will put it back on the road.....
Bedford HA Van HA110,
1980 registered. Indicated mileage, 84781 which I have no reason to think is not correct.
Dry stored for the majority of the last 15 years in my care, and for the previous 10 by the last owner.... none the less this is a restoration case with lots to do, but at the same time, lots of good bits.
Last road tax expired 31.7.1992, taken off the road by previous owner due to no longer being able to drive. I bought the van with the plan of doing it up and having a classic parts hauler but.....
Sorn'd long ago, but don't get reminders... I have the last log book but this is very old compared to the current ones; its not the original green V5 but an early modern one. Should be no issues with re-taxing etc, I think DVLA don't send out reminders for vehicles long term sorn'd etc.
Everything on a project like this revolves around the body, and this van has a large number of the usual problems, but at the same time certain classic HA rot problems are not evident. I have a large number of photos to upload which show all the headaches !. Please see following posts....
Engine/box is currently out of the car, and is exactly as removed. I have not heard it running, and cannot vouch for its condition other than its all there.... Same for gearbox. I'm happy to not sell the engine/box as they are ideal candidates for my other HA should I need another 1256 block etc.
Front drum brake shoes/cylinders are removed as these were seized solid. Rear brakes/hand brake all there.
Price is negotiable,
I also have subsequent to my decision to sell the van, a range of spares I have been collecting on and off for the last 15 years. I will list these separately under the parts section of the forum.
