Even after I have re sized my images they will not upload on to the site, I have only tried the way that I have always done it, has the site been altered,
is there any cure for buying vauxhall cars

Nope not made any changes in a few years to the upload scripts :S
max size 800 x 600 pixels
max file size 2meg
formats acceptable: GIF, JPG, JPEG & TIF
if its not one of those formats and or larger than the max file sizes then resize again? Other wise I have no idea what's going on...
