Hi everybody

Just thought i would take a few moments to introduce myself as im new. Well i'm 31 and live in Bicester, Oxfordshire and am a vehicle inspector albeit on buses/coaches. I have joined as i am going to try save a few pennies and get a nice viva later in the year.
My connection with the best vauxhall came from birth as my father bought a new 1972, 1256 HC 2 door in i think its called aqua starmist blue, Once i had passed my test in 1994 it was handed down to me to use for a few years until i saved up enough to upgrade to a cavalier sri a few years later. It was then retired to my fathers garage where it is still located about 10 years on. Its looking very sorry for itself but he will not let me have it as he is convinced i will sell it rather than restore it. He did say i could have it when he died a bit of a yah nah situation that!

Threaten to buy another one to restore that should convince him. Show him some of the for sale notices in the Mag. or on the Forum - that should convince him he is not sitting on a fortune.

Hi again all and thanks for the nice welcome! To be fair as with most old men my dad is a stubborn old git and im going to forget trying to get the viva from him, just buy a better one later in the year lol.
