Tail / break light problem.

Hi all.
Just bought a sweet little 76 HC Viva Coupe.
Having trouble with the tail / break lights.
Both tail lights go OK but when ya stand on the break pedal, the right ( driver side) tail light goes out, and only the left break light lights up??
Any help'll be much appreciated.

Most likely a bad earth, start by checking the earths, and if you have replaced any bulbs recently check you have fitted the correct bulbs as this will also give similar problems.

Yep, earthing problem is the most likely cause and it is a very common problem with HC tail lights. I've soldered additional earth wires to my bulb holders to improve reliability.
