HB Water Temp sender.

Hello all, does anyone know the correct water temp sender unit for my HB Viva please ? TIA.

I haven't got one to check but I think its a su 9

I saved the quote below in my notes. It was a response to a similar question on Facebook some time ago, from Viva expert Adrian Miller.

"OK - I see you have HB 1159cc. This engine uses 7954996 "4996" stamped on the unit. This sender is unique, it the only one that will read correctly on the HB. And they are VERY VERY VERY rare. Any other sender will read incorrectly, which you have discovered... "4996" - the Delco number is SU 7. If you fit ANY other sender unit you "will" get a wrong reading." - Adrian Miller

According to the part and delco catalogue 7954996 is SU 9. Not SU 7 as stated by Adrian.
