Seven dial dash sensor gubbins

Postby meltdown » Fri Jun 14, 2019 4:37 pm

Hi All

I’m upgrading from twin dial to seven dial dash.
I need to get the sender units for the oil and water, any ideas where to get them from?

Also I’m assuming I don’t need to change my fuel tank sender too?

Regards
Nick

Wasn't there a water temperature gauge on the twin-dial dash? I'd expect that would be the same.

The oil pressure take-off is (on the OHC engine) in the same place as the warning light - you unscrew the warning light sender, screw in the pipe take-off, and fix the warning light sender into that. I might have one, I'll have a look, though I'm sure I've seen something similar in one of the motorsport catalogues.

As far as I know the fuel tank sender is the same on all OHC, regardless of dash type.

I did a twin-dial to seven-dial conversion on my old 1800 Firenza SL, I can't remember what I did with the oil pressure gauge but I think I got most of the dash working.

Thanks Mike

I haven’t explained myself very well but your response has helped immensely.
I pick up the clocks tomorrow, however having sold my 1800 lump some time ago,
this isn’t going to be a straight forward installation.
